2. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. They may be sent with later requests to the relevant website. Session cookies normally last for a browser session; persistent cookies have a longer expiry period.

Other browser storage works differently. Session storage usually lasts for the relevant tab’s session. Local storage may remain between visits until removed or deleted by the website. Browser settings, session restoration and privacy restrictions can affect actual storage duration.

Privacy rules can also cover other ways of storing or accessing information on a device, including certain pixels, tags and device-recognition techniques. Calling a technology “cookieless” or “functional” does not by itself remove applicable legal requirements.

3. Consent management and cookie categories

We use Complianz, a WordPress plugin, to display the cookie banner and manage the choices it supports. The banner offers Accept, Deny and View preferences; you can save customised choices through Save preferences.

  • Essential and functional: storage needed to provide requested features, remember privacy choices or support authorised sign-in. Consent-choice cookies may be used when you refuse optional cookies so that the website can remember your refusal.
  • Preferences: optional settings that remember choices beyond what is necessary for a requested feature, where such features are provided.
  • Statistics: optional measurement of website use, including Google Analytics 4 where enabled, as explained in section 5.
  • Marketing: advertising or profiling technologies, where separately introduced and disclosed. The public-page checks used for this version did not identify active advertising tags.

A category appearing in the banner does not mean that every possible service in that category is running. The consent cookies in section 4 record category settings; a cookie named for “marketing” is not, by that name alone, an advertising-tracking cookie.

4. Consent and technical storage

The following first-party items were identified in anonymous public browsing on 31 October 2026, including checks before a choice and after accepting or refusing optional categories. They are set by code on www.pahire.london. The Complianz items remember privacy choices rather than track activity for advertising.

These items may be created at different stages of a visit. The consent cookies were observed after a choice was made; they should not be read as a list of cookies necessarily set on every initial page load. Removing them may reset the recorded choice.

5. Optional statistics and Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics 4 is the selected service for optional website statistics. Where enabled and permitted by your statistics choice, it helps us understand visits, popular pages and interactions. Google may process online identifiers and technical usage information for that purpose.

The entries below describe conditional GA4 use. They were not observed in the anonymous public-page checks used for this version, either before or after an acceptance choice. They do not mean that displaying the banner itself sets Google Analytics cookies.

For Google’s information, see its GA4 cookie guide and Privacy Policy. Device-cookie expiry is separate from the retention of information already processed by an analytics service.

Google Search Console reports search performance. Connecting an administration or reporting tool such as Site Kit or Rank Math does not, by itself, establish that a particular visitor-tracking tag is active. Google Tag Manager can deploy other tags where configured; those tags need their own appropriate purpose, information and consent controls.

6. Change or withdraw your cookie choices

Use the button below, or the website’s Manage consent tab where displayed, to reopen the Complianz banner. Choose Deny to refuse optional categories, or open View preferences, change the available settings and select Save preferences.

The website is configured to respect supported Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals. When such a signal is detected, optional categories are treated as refused and the banner may be suppressed. If the panel does not open while your browser sends that signal, you can keep the refusal in place or adjust the browser setting and reload before making a different choice.

Changing your choice controls subsequent optional use; it does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful or automatically erase information already held. Essential consent storage may remain to remember your refusal.

You can also inspect or delete stored website data through your browser. In Chrome, use the privacy controls for cookies and other site data. In Safari on Mac, use Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data. Include website data, not only browsing history, when removing session or local storage. Deletion can sign you out or reset settings, and later visits may recreate data for enabled features.

7. How we handle consent

Optional storage or access that does not meet an applicable legal exception requires prior consent. Continuing to browse, reading this policy or accepting equipment-hire terms is not consent to optional tracking. You can refuse optional categories and continue using the ordinary public pages.

A refusal must be respected in the same way as an acceptance. Consent controls should allow you to change your mind with the same ease as giving consent. We provide information about new technologies or purposes and obtain fresh consent where required before using them.

Where an applicable exception is used, its particular conditions must be met, including information and a simple means of objecting where required. A limited statistical-purpose exception is not blanket permission for advertising or cross-site profiling. A label in a plugin does not replace that assessment.

8. WordPress sign-in and account features

Ordinary public browsing does not require an account. Authorised WordPress users may encounter the standard cookies below when using sign-in or administration features. These are conditional account examples, not cookies observed for every signed-out visitor.

An asterisk in a cookie name represents a variable suffix, such as a site or user identifier. Actual account-cookie behaviour and duration depend on the website configuration and browser.

9. Providers, external content and technical requests

Our consent interface is supplied by Complianz and runs as part of this WordPress website. Naming that software does not mean that every visitor’s browsing activity is sent to the plugin developer. Cookie-description synchronisation may involve technical information about our site, such as cookie names, domains and the plugin list.

Optional external content, such as maps, videos, social-media embeds or advertising pixels, can involve further providers and device access. We describe any such use and provide the relevant controls before enabling it. A plain external link is different from an embedded service that loads on our page.

WordPress may request fallback emoji images from s.w.org when a browser needs them. That is separate from the local compatibility entry in section 4 and can disclose normal request information such as an IP address. External providers explain the processing they control in their own privacy information.

Hosting and security systems also handle technical information needed to deliver pages and protect the service. Where Google or another provider processes personal information, its role and any international-transfer arrangements must be considered alongside our Privacy Policy. Browser-storage expiry does not determine retention of hosting logs, enquiries or booking records.

10. Privacy rights and questions

Where cookie or device information is personal data, applicable UK data-protection requirements also apply. Our Privacy Policy explains the purposes, lawful bases, recipients, transfers, retention and individual rights.

Contact info@demapal.com to ask about a technology, request help with your settings, exercise a privacy right or raise a concern. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Removing browser data does not itself delete a booking, invoice or other business record.

11. Updates to this policy

This is version 1.1, updated on 31 October 2026 following the introduction of Complianz. The public-page checks for this version covered the homepage and Cookie Policy in anonymous browser sessions, including acceptance and refusal choices. They are a record of those checks, not a guarantee that every feature or browser always produces an identical inventory.

We review this policy when cookies, plugins, services or purposes change. We update relevant information and obtain fresh consent where required before a new use begins. If you need information about a particular feature or earlier visit, contact us using the details above.
